Award winning best producer, best live act and two-time nominee for the German dance award, Alexander Kowalski emerged from the Berlin underground techno scene in the early 1990s, releasing four solo albums, numerous singles and remixes into the new millenium, resulting in a reputation for highly qualitative electronic dance music. In 2009 he decided to create Damage Music Berlin (DMB), establishing a platform for the type of music he likes. His unforgettable live sets often leave him with an abundance of road-tested material that can be easily fused into DMB productions, thus allowing him a unique avenue of self-expression and fresh ideas from his home studio.
As owner and producer of the label, he has created this exceptional platform indicative of no particular archetype: indeed the label’s horizons promise an incorporation of styles from dub-techno und house to techno and rave. Being able to promote his own artistic vision is a formidable catalyst for creative energy: the first release on DMB was his composition and production „The Heat Of The Night“ 12“ EP (DMB001-6), three tracks of techno and dub-techno that blister with the tough energy of oldschool sweaty rave nights in modern form, garnering immediate international critical acclaim. In 2010 two releases ensued, collaborating with Extrawelt and Dirty Doering. With artists Dosem, David Durango, Vince Watson and Sven Elmlund in the wings, DMB is off to a vigorous start.
Damage Music Berlin – quality only! Time to Damage!
